ApproachSix steps
How we work, from the first call to handover
The same six steps run on a single-room renovation and a building-wide program. Only the scale changes. Planning and coordination are not extras you add on — they are how every job is run.

01
First conversation
We listen first. A call or a short meeting about the property, what you want to change, how soon, and anything we should know before we come and look.
- What the property is, and how it is used
- What you want to change, and why now
- Timing, and any dates that matter
- A budget range, if you have one
-
02
Site visit & assessment
We look at the property in person. Most of what a project will cost is already there — in the walls, the floors, the access and the way the building is used — so this is where we look properly before promising anything.
- Existing conditions, including what may sit behind the finishes
- Access, parking and how materials get in
- Who needs to be part of the decisions
- Constraints — occupants, business hours, building rules
-
03
Design & proposal
Where it helps, we work through the design with you — layout, materials, finishes — before anything is priced. Then you get a proposal that says plainly what is included, what is not, and what happens when.
- The scope, and what it leaves out
- How the work is priced
- Who is responsible for what
- A realistic schedule
-
04
Before work starts
The quiet weeks before anyone arrives decide how the job runs. We confirm the decisions, order what takes time to arrive, and settle how the site will work — so the first day on site is spent working, not sorting things out.
- Approvals and selections confirmed
- Materials ordered early, so nothing stalls half-built
- Site access, protection and safety in place
- How and when you will hear from us
-
05
Construction
We run the work day to day. Trades come in one after another in a planned order, decisions are made before they hold anything up, and you always know what is happening this week and what is next.
- Trades booked in sequence, not called in as needed
- Progress updates on a regular schedule
- Changes agreed in writing before they happen
- Quality checked as the work goes, not only at the end
-
06
Completion & handover
We walk through the finished work with you and fix anything that is not right. You get the paperwork that comes with the job, and the project is closed properly rather than left to trail off.
- A walk-through of the finished work, together
- A list of fixes, agreed and completed
- The documents that come with the job
- The project formally closed
