Painting in Burnaby and across Metro Vancouver
Interior and exterior painting — walls, ceilings, doors, trim and siding — with the filling, sanding and repairs done before any paint goes on.
A paint job is mostly preparation. Filling, sanding, repairing drywall, masking, and protecting floors and furniture take longer than the painting itself, and they decide how the finish looks a year from now.
We paint as a job of its own — a room, a whole house, a condo between tenants — or as the last stage of a renovation, once the walls are new.
What it includes
- Interior walls and ceilings
- Doors, trim and baseboards
- Drywall repairs and patching before painting
- Exterior painting — siding and trim
- Condo and rental unit repaints between tenants
- Floors, furniture and fixtures protected throughout
Good to have ready before we talk
- Photos of the rooms, or of the outside of the house
- Roughly how many rooms, and whether ceilings and trim are included
- Colours, if you have chosen them
- Whether the home will be lived in while we paint
Prep before paint
Holes, cracks and dented corners are repaired and sanded, and everything that is not being painted is covered, before the first coat. Paint shows every flaw underneath it.
Sprayed or rolled
Empty rooms and new drywall can be sprayed for an even finish — the Vancouver tower apartment on this page was masked off and its walls and ceilings sprayed. Lived-in rooms are usually brushed and rolled, with everything around them covered.
Outside, with the weather
Exterior paint needs dry surfaces and dry days, so exterior work is planned around Vancouver’s weather. The Maple Ridge house on this page was repainted around its rebuilt deck.
What it typically costs
Walls, ceilings and trim, prepared and painted. The prep — filling, sanding, repairing drywall — is where the time goes.
| Scope | Usually includes | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| One-bedroom condo | Walls, ceilings and trim throughout | $2,500–$4,500 |
| Two-bedroom condo | Walls, ceilings and trim throughout | $3,500–$5,500 |
| House, around 2,000 sq ft | Walls, ceilings and trim throughout | $4,000–$12,000 |
Walls that need drywall repair or a skim coat before painting cost more.
A typical range to help you plan — not our price. Your project could come in lower or higher, depending on the work and the materials.
