Kitchen renovations in Burnaby and across Metro Vancouver
From new counters and a backsplash to a closed kitchen opened into the living room — planned around how you cook and live, and built by one team.
Whether a kitchen needs a refresh or a new layout comes down to one question: do the sink, the stove and the walls stay where they are? Keeping them saves the most. Moving them is where a kitchen changes the most.
Either way, cabinets, counters and appliances take time to arrive, so we confirm them before any demolition. Plumbing, electrical and ventilation are then done before the surfaces that cover them.
What it includes
- Cabinets and islands
- Countertops and backsplash
- Sinks, faucets and appliance installation
- Layout changes and opening up walls
- Plumbing, electrical and lighting
- Range hoods and ventilation
- Flooring and painting to finish
Good to have ready before we talk
- Photos of the kitchen, and rough measurements if you have them
- What does not work today — storage, light, counter space
- Appliances you want to keep
- A budget range, even a rough one
Layout first
Where the sink, the cooktop and the fridge go decides how a kitchen works every day, and what is behind the walls decides what moving them costs. We settle the layout on site, against what is actually there, before anything is priced.
Ordered before demolition
Cabinets, counters and appliances are confirmed and ordered before the old kitchen comes out, so the room is not left stripped while a delivery is on its way.
Services before surfaces
In the Vancouver tower apartment shown on this page, the kitchen was stripped back to the substrate, the plumbing and electrical were reworked and a doorway was reframed before the new kitchen went in — an open kitchen with an island, a chimney hood and integrated appliances where a closed galley had been.
What it typically costs
The cabinets and whether the layout changes decide most of a kitchen’s cost. Keeping sinks, appliances and walls where they are keeps the price down.
| Scope | Usually includes | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| Refresh | New countertops, backsplash, sink, faucet, hardware and lighting, keeping the cabinets | $10,000–$25,000 |
| Full renovation, same layout | New cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring and lighting, with everything in the same place | $25,000–$50,000 |
| New layout or custom | Walls opened or moved, plumbing and electrical relocated, custom cabinetry | $60,000–$100,000+ |
A typical range to help you plan — not our price. Your project could come in lower or higher, depending on the work and the materials.
